🌳 In the middle of nowhere you'll find this small family restaurant with its own homemade specialties. Coming from Melides, it's easy to find, following the sign for Sobreiras Altas.
Fatima has created a signature typical Alentejo dish: a fresh spinach and coriander soup with clams and lots of garlic and Alentejo bread that you won't find anywhere else. After a day at the beach, it's simply delicious! António will be your host and will always suggest a good wine to go with the grilled meat and many other local dishes, very typical of the region. Everything here is good - starting with the bread, the olives, the wine, the desserts, the homey atmosphere.
🐓 If you want, you can go around the house and visit the chickens and turkeys in the well-arranged backyard and take a look at the vegetable garden. Almost everything that will be on your plate comes from there!
And don't forget to say hello to the beautiful cat "Riscas" (Stripes), the owner of the place.
Our suggestion: "Terra & Mar ", grilled meat dish served on a tile or the "Spinach Soup" with coriander, garlic and clams.
